Prerequisites

This CMMC training course is designed exclusively for experienced professionals with a minimum of five years implementing NIST SP 800-53 and/or NIST SP 800-171. Experience with other assessment frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, HITRUST) does not qualify as a substitute.

As the official prerequisite for both the Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) and Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) certification programs, this comprehensive training covers the full, unaltered CCP and CCA course content—ensuring you receive the complete knowledge required for certification.

Prerequisites for Certification

CCP Exam Requirements

  1. Review the CCP Exam Blueprint.
  2. Learn more about the CCP Exam Requirements.
  3. College degree in a cyber or information technical field, 2+ years of related experience or education,
    or 2+ years of equivalent experience (including military) in a cyber, information technology, or assessment
    field.
  4. Suggested CompTIA A+ or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  5. Complete Certified CMMC Professional Class offered by a Approved Training Provider (ATP).
  6. Pass DOD CUI Awareness Training no earlier than three months prior to the exam.

CCA Exam Requirements

  1. Review the CCA Exam Blueprint.
  2. Learn more about the CCA Exam Requirements.
  3. Take CCA training with a Approved Training Provider (ATP).
  4. Pay exam fee, register for exam, and take and pass CCA certification exam.
  5. Have or gain a favorable DoD Suitability Determination, or Possess a NAC (National Agency Check) or other DoD accepted clearance.
